Year One
This week Year One adapted the story of Where’s Home Little
Pip to include a new character... the polar bear Large Larry!
On Monday we used similes, alliteration
and onomatopoeic words to describe him.

This week Year Two have also been
busy writing.
In Geography we have been writing letters to our link school in America to
find out about their school and how they learn. We looked at features of a
letter to help us introduce ourselves to our new pen pals.

We also
wrote diary entries about a statue that
comes alive. The statue takes some children on a magical tour around London…

Wow year 1! I am extremely impressed with your similes and use of capital letters and full stops. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYear 2 - I was really pleased to see not only correct capital letters and full stops but question and exclamation marks too. Well done!
A great week of writing KS1.
Miss Harris :)
We really liked reading your letter Sarah. Well done for using question marks at the end of your questions, we are going to try and use some in our writing next week. We also liked that you used a capital letter for Bulgaria because it is a proper noun. Maybe next time you could use cursive writing. We are going to try and use cursive writing too.
ReplyDeleteDear Swayde, we loved your fantastic writing, We really liked how you used beady to describe Large larrys eyes. But we think you could have used because to say why his parents did not want him to get lost.
